Truck Vs. Sedan Collision Near Carrollton Road Left 22-Year-Old Man Dead

SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY, CA (January 2, 2024) – Early Monday morning, a two-vehicle collision on Lone Tree Road claimed the life of Lorenzo Serrano.

The fatal crash happened around 4:10 a.m. at the westbound lanes of Lone Tree Road, just west of Carrollton Road. 

According to the CHP, a 2014 Honda Accord collided with the back of a 2007 Sterling feed truck slowing down to turn right. 

Investigators said the Accord driver failed to stop on time while traveling west at a high rate of speed. 

Unfortunately, the first responders declared the Honda driver dead at the scene. The San Joaquin County Medical Examiner’s Office later identified the deceased driver as Lorenzo Serrano of Escalon. 

Authorities said the truck driver and their passenger did not sustain any injuries. Those with additional information about the two-vehicle crash are encouraged to contact San Joaquin County Officials as soon as possible.
