31-Year-Old Man Arrested after Red-Light Crash near McDowell Road
PHOENIX, AZ (January 2, 2023) – Late Monday morning, Kenneth Lane was arrested after a red-light collision on 35th Avenue.
The incident occurred around 11:30 a.m., near McDowell Road on December 25th.
Per reports, 31-year-old Lane was driving a truck north on 35th Avenue and failed to yield at the red light. As a result, he rear-ended another vehicle at the intersection. In addition, another truck became involved.
A woman in her 30s and a child suffered critical injuries, and three other occupants suffered minor wounds. Authorities transported all victims to a nearby hospital for further treatment.
Following preliminary duties, officers arrested Lane who displayed signs of impairment. Police took him into custody with charges of aggravated assault and endangerment. Further investigation is still ongoing.
