Female Pedestrian Pronounced Dead after Fatal Collision on Interstate 30

ARLINGTON, TX (December 28, 2023) – Early Friday morning, one woman was killed in a pedestrian crash on North Fielder Road.

Authorities responded to the scene just before 4:30 a.m., near Interstate 30 on December 15th.

Upon arrival, troopers learned that multiple vehicles struck a woman who was sitting on the highway. Investigators say the drivers were unable to avoid the woman due to poor visibility.

Furthermore, the involved drivers remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.

Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced the female pedestrian dead at the scene.

During cleanup and preliminary duties, troopers blocked all eastbound lanes of I-30 and North Fielder Road near Lamar High School. Officers say the drivers will not face any criminal charges.
