42-Year-Old Woman Killed after Pedestrian Crash near Western Avenue
SOUTH LOS ANGELES, CA (December 28, 2023) – Tuesday evening, one woman died in a hit-and-run pedestrian collision on Vernon Avenue.
The fatal incident happened around 6:30 p.m., near Western Avenue.
According to the report, a female driver hit the victim and fled the scene. Police said the woman later returned to the site of the crash and was interviewed by the police.
Meanwhile, medical responders transported the female victim to a hospital where she succumbed to her injuries. The Los Angeles Police Department only identified the deceased pedestrian as a 42-year-old woman.
Reports said the female hit-and-run driver was not arrested, but a case will be presented to the LA County District Attorney’s office for consideration.
