45-Year-Old Man Killed, 31-Year-Old Man Arrested after DUI Crash near Interstate 30

WHITE SETTLEMENT, TX (December 28, 2023) – Saturday, Terry Ivory was killed and Nestor Joel Lujan Flores was arrested after a DUI collision.

Dispatchers responded to the scene around 11:13 p.m., on West Freeway near Interstate 30.

Officers received calls about a driver slumped over the steering wheel of a gray Kia Forte in a Jack in the Box parking lot, with extensive front-damage. Upon arrival, police located a body in the passenger seat.

Due to the extent of their condition, medics later pronounced the victim dead at the scene. Authorities later identified him as 45-year-old Ivory.

Meanwhile, crews detained the driver later identified as Flores, of Arlington. Officers determined that Flores traveled 40 miles after striking the victim who was crossing the road.

Per reports, Flores was transferred and booked into the Dallas County Jail on Tuesday, December 19th on intoxication manslaughter charges. He is being held on a bond of $500,000.
