25-Year-Old Male Rider Pronounced Dead after Motorcycle Crash near Lower Buckeye Road

PHOENIX, AZ (December 27, 2023) – Tuesday afternoon, Ricardo Fonseca was killed in a motorcycle collision on 77th Avenue.

Around 2:30 p.m., police responded to the scene near Lower Buckeye Road on December 19th.

Officers say the driver of an SUV pulled out in front of a westbound motorcycle and struck the rider. Upon impact, 25-year-old Fonseca was ejected onto the road and suffered critical injuries.

Medical personnel located Fonseca down on the road in serious condition. Paramedics transported him to a nearby hospital where he later died.

Meanwhile, the female driver of the SUV remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. Police say she displayed no signs of impairment.
