2 Hospitalized after Wrong-Way Crash on Ben White Boulevard [Austin, TX]
Two Injured in Traffic Collision Interstate 35 Southbound Left Two People Seriously Injured
AUSTIN, TX (December 27, 2023) – Early Friday morning, police responded to a wrong-way collision on Ben White Boulevard.
On December 15th, shortly after 3:30 a.m., officers were dispatched to the Interstate 35 southbound ramp to the westbound ramp of the Boulevard regarding a collision.
Furthermore, the Austin Fire Department arrived at the scene and found two people with serious injuries, one with life-threatening and one with non-life-threatening.
Consequently, the Austin-Travis County EMS transported both injured persons to St. David’s South Austin Medical Center for medication.
According to the authorities, the incident was caused by a wrong-way driver. The ramp was blocked for several hours before it was reopened and made passable.
The investigators added no additional information, and the crash is still under investigation.
