1 Killed in Bus Accident on State Highway 71 [Del Valle, TX]
One Killed, Three Injured in Bus Collision near Del Valle Street
DEL VALLE, TX (December 27, 2023) – Monday morning, one victim was pronounced dead after a bus accident on State Highway 71.
The incident occurred just before 9:30 a.m., on the westbound lanes near Del Valle Street on December 11th.
For reasons under investigation, the driver of a vehicle rear-ended a CapMetro bus. Upon impact, at least six victims suffered minor-serious injuries.
The Austin-Travis County EMS transported two people to St. David’s South Austin Medical Center. Additionally, responders transported two others to Dell Seton Medical Center.
Meanwhile, two injured people refused hospital treatment. Due to the extent of their condition, one person later died at the hospital.
At this time, an active investigation to determine further information is still currently underway.
