Liyah-Grace Holsey Fatally Struck in Pedestrian Accident on Sublett Road [Arlington, TX]
10-Year-Old Girl Pronounced Dead after Pedestrian Collision near Park Springs Boulevard
ARLINGTON, TX (December 26, 2023) – Thursday afternoon, Liyah-Grace Holsey was fatally struck in a pedestrian accident on Sublett Road.
The incident occurred at the 600 block of Sublett Road just before 4:00 p.m., near Park Springs Boulevard on December 14th.
Following preliminary duties, officers determined that 10-year-old Holsey was crossing the street from north to south when two passing vehicles struck her.
Investigators say the vehicles were traveling through a green light. Both drivers remained at the scene near Mary Moore Elementary School and cooperated with the investigation.
Paramedics arrived and took Holsey to a nearby hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries.
Authorities say that Holsey was a fifth grader at Mary Moore Elementary School. She will be deeply missed be her community.
Officers say the drivers will not face criminal charges. At this time, an active investigation is still currently underway.
