Two Pronounced Dead after Single-Car Accident near Sunol Boulevard
PLEASANTON, CA (December 21, 2023) – Monday afternoon, two victims were killed and multiple were hurt in a solo-car crash on Interstate 680.
Police officers received calls around 2:36 p.m., on the southbound lanes of the freeway near Sunol Boulevard and Castlewood Drive.
For reasons under investigation, the driver of a vehicle veered off the road. At least six adults and two juveniles were occupying the vehicle.
First responders declared two adults dead at the scene. Their names remain undisclosed to the public at this time.
Two additional adults were hospitalized while the remaining occupants sustained minor injuries. Paramedics also rushed the two children to an Oakland hospital for medical evaluation.
No further details regarding the Interstate 680 solo-vehicle crash have been released to the public. Pleasanton Officials will provide more information once available.
