2 Dead, Lisa Farago and Al Saenz Hospitalized after Solo-Car Accident near Highway 77

CORPUS CHRISTI, TX (December 20, 2023) – Saturday afternoon, Morris Vaughn and Patricia Vaughn died in a single-vehicle crash.

Officers arrived around 2:30 p.m., to the eastbound lanes of State Highway 89 near the Highway 77 on-ramp on December 2nd.

Per reports, Morris was driving a 1992 Chevrolet Caprice south on Highway 77 and failed to yield the right-of-way to an eastbound Ford F-150.

As a result, the Chevy struck the Ford, occupied by Lisa Farago and Al Saenz. First responders located the damaged vehicles on a grassy area nearby.

Paramedics pronounced 90-year-old Morris and 88-year-old Patricia dead at the scene. Meanwhile, responding paramedics transported Farago and Saenz to a Corpus Christi hospital in stable condition.

At this time, an active investigation to determine further information is still currently underway. Once available, more details will be provided.
