35-Year-Old Woman Killed in Pedestrian Accident near 7th Street

LONG BEACH, CA (December 18, 2023) – Early Wednesday morning, Tabitha Ixchop was killed in a pedestrian collision on Peppertree Lane.

Around 5:05 a.m., police responded to the scene on the eastbound lanes of the road near 7th Street.

According to reports, the drivers of two vehicles struck a pedestrian in the area. Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics later pronounced 35-year-old Ixchop dead at the scene.

Based on the initial investigation, Ixchop sprinted across the eastbound lanes of 7th Street in an unmarked crosswalk when they were hit.

Both drivers involved stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
