63-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after Multi-Car Accident near Rainbow Boulevard

LAS VEGAS, NV (December 19, 2023) – Sunday evening, David Jones was killed in a multi-vehicle crash on Spring Valley Parkway.

Authorities responded to the scene just before 7:20 p.m., near Rainbow Boulevard and Tropicana Avenue on December 3rd.

The collision involved five vehicles including a 2015 Chevrolet Impala driven by 63-year-old Jones and a 2014 Toyota Corolla driven by a 33-year-old man. Per reports, Jones was heading north at high rates of speed approaching Spring Valley Boulevard.

There, Jones crashed into four other vehicles. Paramedics transported Jones to UMC Trauma where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Meanwhile, the driver of the Toyota was also transported to UMC for treatment of moderate injuries. The other drivers involved remained at the scene and were evaluated by investigators.

Impairment was not suspected as a factor of the collision, and the LVMPD Collision Investigation Section is handling further investigation.
