Terry Garmon Dies in 2-Car Accident on Ruthrauff Road [Tucson, AZ]
72-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after Head-On Collisoin near Fellows Avenue
TUCSON, AZ (December 13, 2023) – Terry Garmon was pronounced dead days after a 2-car accident on Ruthrauff Road, late Saturday morning.
Dispatchers received calls in the area around 11:30 p.m., near Fellows Avenue on November 25th.
The Tucson Police Department determined that Garmon was driving a westbound Honda SUV when he veered into oncoming lanes for reasons unknown.
As a result, the Honda collided head-on with a Ford F-250 pickup-truck, occupied by two people. Despite life-saving efforts, medics later pronounced 72-year-old Garmon dead at the hospital on December 3rd.
In addition, paramedics took two occupants from inside the Ford to a nearby hospital with non life-threatening injuries.
Following preliminary duties, authorities ruled out speed and impairment as potential factors of the collision. No charges were cited to the Ford driver.
