Multi-Vehicle Collision Near El Camino Real Resulted in Injuries

CARLSBAD, CA (December 13, 2023) – Police arrested Lindsay Roberts following a DUI crash on La Costa Avenue last Sunday night in Carlsbad. 

Around 9:15 p.m., authorities started to pursue a black Toyota sedan that appeared to be unable to maintain lanes. 

Deputies attempted to perform a traffic stop, however, the driver failed to comply. 

Afterward, the suspect continued along the northbound Interstate 5 and surface streets, ignoring several red lights in the area. 

After a short while, the deputies located the Toyota involved in a multi-vehicle crash at the intersection of La Costa Avenue and El Camino Real. 

Responding deputies managed to extricate the Toyota driver and transported her to a hospital for serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Upon release, authorities arrested 40-year-old Lindsay Roberts for suspicion of DUI and felony evading. 

Paramedics sent the 41-year-old man driving the second vehicle to a hospital for minor injuries. The two 18-year-old men in the third vehicle involved did not sustain any injuries.
