Pedestrian Crash near 56th Street Kills 24-Year-Old Man
JURUPA VALLEY, CA (December 13, 2023) – Saturday night, a hit-and-run collision on Van Buren Boulevard took the life of Emilio Jimenez.
The deadly crash happened around 10:51 p.m. in the area of Van Buren Boulevard, just north of 56th Street.
According to the deputies, a vehicle in the southbound lanes hit the male pedestrian for unknown reasons. The vehicle then fled the scene without rendering aid to the victim.
Unfortunately, the first responders declared the man dead at the scene. The Riverside County Coroner’s Bureau later identified the victim as 24-year-old Emilio Jimenez.
At this time, the Jurupa Valley Sheriff’s Station Traffic Collision Reconstruction Team is leading the investigation.
Additionally, a portion of the roadway was temporarily shut down to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.
