Man Hospitalized after Skateboard Incident on Zoo Drive [San Diego, CA]
Sedan vs. Skateboarder Collision in Balboa Park Left One Person Injured
SAN DIEGO, CA (December 12, 2023) – Tuesday evening, a skateboard incident on Zoo Drive sent a man to a hospital.
The collision occurred around 6:06 p.m. in the northbound lanes of 3000 Zoo Drive in Balboa Park.
According to the police, a 2008 Toyota Corolla failed to see the skateboarder going in the same direction, resulting in a crash.
Emergency responders transported the male skateboarder to a hospital for multiple injuries. The victim was only identified as a 39-year-old man.
Meanwhile, the 22-year-old woman driving the Corolla stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.
Police do not suspect alcohol and drugs to be a factor in the collision.
