One Man Pronounced Dead after Wrong-Way Accident near West 7th Street
HOUSTON, TX (December 12, 2023) – Late Friday night, one man was fatally struck in a wrong-way collision on North Shepherd Drive.
Around 11:30 p.m., police responded to the scene near West 7th Street.
For reasons under investigation, the 33-year-old female driver of an SUV was heading the wrong-way on Shepard Drive. As a result, the SUV crashed head-on into a white Volkswagen.
Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics later pronounced one man inside the Volkswagen dead at the scene. Although, authorities have not yet released their identity.
Meanwhile, the woman did not sustain life-threatening injuries.
At this time, an investigation is still currently underway. Anyone with additional information about the wrong-way collision is encouraged to contact local officers as soon as possible.
