Darien Marcelle Demery Pronounced Dead after DUI Crash on Marysville Boulevard [Sacramento, CA]
Solo-Vehicle Crash near Los Robles Boulevard Left One Dead
SACRAMENTO, CA (December 12, 2023) – A DUI crash on Marysville Boulevard in Hagginwood last month claimed the life of Darien Marcelle Demery.
The deadly collision happened on November 22nd, around 8:15 p.m. at the intersection of Marysville and Los Robles Boulevard.
According to the police, a vehicle collided with a pole causing the passenger to pass away at the scene.
Later, the coroner’s office identified the deceased driver as 24-year-old Darien Marcelle Demery of Sacramento.
Meanwhile, the driver, identified as 27-year-old DeAndre Bess, was taken to a hospital for critical injuries.
Upon release, police arrested and booked Bess to Sacramento County Jail for suspicion of DUI and vehicular manslaughter.
The father of Demery started a GoFundMe page to help with funeral expenses.
