Brenna Ashley Brewer Arrested after DUI Fatal Pedestrian Crash on Rock Boulevard [Sparks, NV]
24-Year-Old Suspect Arrested after Pedestrian Collision near Interstate 80
SPARKS, NV (December 12, 2023) – Early Wednesday evening, Brenna Ashley Brewer was arrested after a pedestrian crash on Rock Boulevard.
Just before 5:45 p.m., officers responded to the scene near Interstate 80 on December 6th.
According to reports, 24-year-old Brewer was heading east with no head lights on and drove through a red light. As a result, the vehicle struck a pedestrian, pushing the victim onto the southbound lanes.
There, the driver of a multiple other vehicles also struck the victim. Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics later pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene.
Police officers attempted to perform a traffic stop before Brewer fled the scene, leading to a pursuit. Shortly after, Brewer struck a concrete median and officers arrested her at the intersection of Pyramid Way and C Street.
Paramedics arrived and transported Brewer to Washoe County Jail with charges of DUI causing death, failure to stop at the scene, failure to obey traffic stop, driving without a driver’s license, no headlight, no vehicle registration, and no valid insurance.
