Two Dead, One Hospitalized after Head-On Crash on El Portal Drive [San Pablo, CA]
Fatalities Reported after Two-Vehicle Crash near Glenlock Street
SAN PABLO, CA (December 11, 2023) – Early Thursday morning, two people were declared dead in a head-on crash on El Portal Drive.
Police responded to the collision around 12:30 a.m. in the area of Glenlock and Fordham Streets.
Based on the initial investigation, an eastbound BMW on El Portal Drive sideswiped a truck going in the same direction.
The impact of the collision caused the BMW to go into the westbound lanes where it collided head-on with a Chevrolet Camaro.
Unfortunately, the man and a woman inside the BMW sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene.
Medical responders transported the 20-year-old Richmond man driving the Camaro to a hospital in critical condition.
At this time, the identities of the deceased victims remain undisclosed to the public, pending notification from the next of kin.
