Female Driver Dead and Two Hospitalized in Car Accident near Airport Boulevard

HOUSTON, TX (December 6, 2023) – Early Thursday morning, one woman died in a reckless accident on Martin Luther King Boulevard.

The incident happened in the 10600 block of Martin Luther King Boulevard near Airport Boulevard around 2:00 a.m., on November 23rd.

Investigation showed that a vehicle driven by a woman was speeding and ran over a red light at the intersection when it struck a curb, it then left the road and slammed head-on into a tree.

Furthermore, the authorities arrived at the scene and found the vehicle with three occupants still inside.

Unfortunately, the driver did not survive her injuries, and she was pronounced dead while one of the passengers needed extrication and the vehicle was cut.

Consequently, the authorities transported the two passengers to the hospital where one suffered major wounds.

Additionally, both directions of the roadway were temporarily shut down to allow for cleanup.

No arrests or citations have been made since the driver died. Further investigation is still underway.
