Truck vs Car Collision near Elkhorn Boulevard Left One Dead
RIO LINDA, CA (December 6, 2023) – Early Wednesday morning, a two-vehicle crash on 6th Street left one person dead and another hospitalized.
The fatal collision occurred around 5:44 a.m. in the area of W. 6th Street and W. Elkhorn Boulevard in Rio Linda.
According to CHP, a utility truck collided with the side of a Honda sedan. However, the reason surrounding the collision remains unclear.
Unfortunately, the first responders declared the Honda passenger dead at the scene. He was only identified as a man in his 30s.
Meanwhile, the man in his 50s driving the sedan was transported to a hospital for unspecified injuries.
The driver of the truck did not appear injured, officials said. Additionally, some of the street was temporarily shut down to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.
