Thanksgiving Off-Road Crash in San Diego Left Scripps Ranch Grandfather Dead
SAN DIEGO, CA (December 5, 2023) – A Scripps Ranch family is grieving following a Dune Buggy Accident that claimed the life of 53-year-old Rob Mallory.
The fatal incident occurred on the afternoon of Thanksgiving day at Ocotillo Wells State Park.
According to the report, Rob and some family members on a dune buggy decided to visit a memorial plaque to honor Rob’s brother.
Around 15 minutes passed, the group rode into the main trail and collided with another dune buggy coming from a feeder trail.
Responding emergency personnel airlifted Rib to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
Additionally, Rob’s wife Misty Mallory, his son, and his girlfriend were hurt in the incident. The driver of the other dune buggy sustained serious injuries from the crash.
At this time, a GoFundMe page was created to aid the family with medical and funeral expenses.
