Several People Hurt in Suspected DUI Crash on West Yosemite Avenue
MANTECA, CA (December 5, 2023) – Sunday evening, five victims sustained injuries in an auto collision on West Yosemite Avenue.
Based on the report, the crash happened in the area of West Yosemite Avenue near Jack’s Pizza Restaurant.
Witnesses claimed they spotted a speeding vehicle traveling northbound on Union Road before running a red light.
Subsequently, the driver went airborne and landed before losing control and crashing into a building.
Responding emergency personnel sent four people to a hospital for treatment of minor to major injuries. In addition, an employee was also hurt from the crash but later declined medical treatment.
According to Chief Schluer, the 34-year-old Oakland woman driving the car had two small children as passengers. The children were later released to their father unharmed.
In the end, police arrested the female driver for suspected DUI and felony child endangerment.
