LOS ANGELES, CA (December 4, 2023) – Early Wednesday morning, Chris Davis was hospitalized after a pedestrian crash on Normandie Avenue.
Police responded to the scene shortly before 1:00 a.m., near Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard.
According to reports, investigators believe that an officer driving a patrol car hit a nail, resulting in a flat tire that caused the vehicle to lose control. Video footage shows the police vehicle sliding sideways onto the sidewalk where it hit a pedestrian.
Medics transported the injured pedestrian, identified as Chris Davis, to a nearby hospital with minor injuries.
The two officers inside the patrol vehicle were unharmed. The Los Angeles Police Department continues to investigate the crash.
