Woman Injured in Pedestrian Crash on West Tropicana Avenue [Las Vegas, NV]
73-Year-Old Woman Hospitalized after Being Hit by a Vehicle near Jones Boulevard
LAS VEGAS, NV (November 30, 2023) – On Tuesday evening, a woman was injured following a pedestrian crash on West Tropicana Avenue.
The incident happened on October 31st around 6:30 p.m., just east of South Jones Boulevard.
Investigation showed that a BMW driven by a 74-year-old man was headed westbound Tropicana.
Consequently, the 73-year-old, woman crossed Jones Boulevard outside a pedestrian crosswalk.
As a result, the woman ended up in front of the BMW. She suffered life-threatening injuries, and responding paramedics rushed her to UMC Trauma.
Furthermore, the driver of the BMW stayed at the scene. He displayed no signs of impairment, the police added.
Additionally, a portion of the roadway was temporarily shut down to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.
