30-Year-Old Man Hospitalized after Motorcycle Crash near Durango Drive

LAS VEGAS, NV (November 30, 2023) – Late Saturday afternoon, one rider sustained injuries in a motorcycle collision on Sahara Avenue.

Dispatchers responded to the scene around 4:30 p.m., near Durango Drive on November 18th.

Officers say the rider of a southbound red 2004 Yamaha R6 was traveling at high rates of speed approaching Starboard Drive.

For reasons under investigation, the motorcycle then collided with a northbound black 2013 Nissan Versa.

Upon impact, the 30-year-old rider was ejected from the motorcycle onto cacti and other landscape. Paramedics transported the motorcyclist to University Medical Center’s Trauma Unit with life-threatening injuries.

Meanwhile, the 26-year-old driver of the Nissan also suffered minor wounds, and police said that he displayed no signs of being impaired. Further investigation is being handled by the LVMPD’s Collision Investigation Section.
