Man Killed in DUI Pedestrian Crash on South Buffalo Drive [Las Vegas, NV]
36-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after Pedestrian Accident on West Flamingo Road
LAS VEGAS, NV (November 30, 2023) – Late Tuesday evening, one man was killed in a DUI pedestrian crash on South Buffalo Drive.
Shortly before 10:50 p.m., officers responded to the scene near West Flamingo Road on November 21st.
Upon investigation, the authorities learned that a 36-year-old pedestrian crossed the road in a marked crosswalk against a green light. The driver of a westbound 2021 Mercedes GLE 350 then struck the pedestrian.
The driver then left the scene before immediately returning and surrendering himself to the authorities. Police say he displayed signs of being impaired, and he was arrested by the authorities with hit-and-run and DUI-related charges.
Despite life-saving efforts, medics later pronounced the male pedestrian dead at the scene. His identity was not yet released by the officials.
No additional information was added, and the LVMPD Collision Investigation Section is handling the investigation.
