Man Dies in Hit-and-Run Bicycle Accident on McHenry Avenue [Modesto, CA]
Man Pronounced Dead after Hit-and-Run Bicycle Collision near Sylvan Avenue
MODESTO, CA (November 30, 2023) – One man was killed in a hit-and-run bicycle accident on McHenry Avenue, Tuesday night.
Authorities responded to the scene around 5:30 p.m., near Sylvan Avenue and East Union Avenue.
Per reports, the driver of a southbound light-colored Kia Soul struck a man riding a bicycle across McHenry Avenue. Afterward, the Kia driver fled the scene without rendering aid to the victim.
Responding medical personnel transported the bicyclist to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. At this time, the identity of the deceased victim remains undisclosed to the public.
Police are currently looking for the Kia Soul with possible front windshield and passenger side damages. An active investigation is still currently underway.
