Semi-Truck Accident near Bogue Road Left One Dead, 2 Injured
YUBA CITY, CA (November 29, 2023) – Wednesday evening, Jadyn Fife died following a two-vehicle collision on Highway 99.
The fatal incident happened on November 15th at around 8:40 p.m. along southbound Highway 99.
According to CHP, a northbound semi in the second lane hit a 2007 Toyota Yarris turning east onto Bogue Road.
The impact of the crash caused both vehicles to overturn and block all the north and southbound lanes.
Responding medical personnel airlifted the Toyota passenger to Sutter Roseville Medical Center in critical condition.
Meanwhile, the Toyota driver, identified as 21-year-old Dominic McKibbon was hospitalized for moderate injuries.
The driver of the 20-year-old driver of the semi-truck, Gurninder Singh Rai, did not sustain injuries.
On November 19, the passenger of McKibbon died from their injuries at Sutter Roseville Medical Center. Authorities later identified the deceased passenger as 23-year-old Jadyn Fife. Additionally, some of the roadway was temporarily shut down to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.
The California Highway Patrol continues to investigate the crash. Police do not suspect drugs or alcohol to be a factor in the incident.
