Auto-Pedestrian Crash near Vineland Avenue On-ramp
TOLUCA LAKE, CA (November 29, 2023) – Thursday morning, a pedestrian crash on 101 Freeway took the life of Daniel Moreso.
The collision happened around 3:51 a.m. along Ventura (101) Freeway near Toluca Lake and Studio City.
According to CHP, a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle at the Vineland Avenue on-ramp for unknown reasons.
The first responders declared the pedestrian dead at the scene. Authorities initially identified the victim as a woman in her 30s.
Later, the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office identified the deceased person as 25-year-old Daniel Moreso. Additionally, some of the freeway was temporarily shut down to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties. However, the roadway has since been reopened.
Police said the driver involved pulled over the freeway and immediately contacted CHP for help.
