One Pronounced Dead after Head-On Collision near

TUCSON, AZ (November 29, 2023) – Wednesday morning, one person was killed in a head-on accident on Highway 82.

The incident happened on November 15th when the Whetstone Police received a report involving a head-on collision between two vehicles.

According to the responding troopers, an off-duty USCBP Air Interdiction Agent was involved in the collision.

Furthermore, one driver died at the scene, and the passenger of the driver suffered injuries.

Consequently, emergency responders transported the injured occupant and the agent to the hospital for treatment. Additionally, a portion of the highway was temporarily shut down to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties. However, the roadway has since been reopened to the public.
