3 Hospitalized after Rollover Accident on Nautilus Street [San Diego, CA]
Three Injured in Solo-Vehicle Collision near La Jolla
SAN DIEGO, CA (November 28, 2023) – Wednesday morning, a rollover accident on Nautilus Street sent at least three patients to a hospital.
Officers responded to the crash around 12:40 p.m. at the 2200 block of Nautilus Street in the community of La Jolla.
Based on the investigation, the driver of a 2005 Nissan Frontier traveling westbound lost control of the vehicle for unknown reasons.
As a result, the truck rolled over several times and ejected two teenagers occupying the rear passenger seats.
Following the crash, the 19-year-old male driver fled the scene on foot and currently remains at large.
Responding medical personnel transported the three passengers to a hospital. Reports said that one of the passengers suffered life-threatening injuries.
Investigators are working to determine if intoxication played a role in the incident as alcohol bottles were located at the scene.
