Motorcyclist Flown to Hospital on Whispering Oaks Trail after Colliding with Vehicle
PAYNE SPRINGS, TX (November 27, 2023) – Early Saturday evening, a motorcycle rider was hospitalized following a vehicle collision on Highway 198.
The collision happened on November 18th just before 5:15 p.m. near the intersection at Whispering Oaks Trail involving a motorcyclist and a black sedan.
Furthermore, the Payne Springs Fire Rescue responded to the scene where they found the motorcyclist collided with the sedan.
Moreover, the motorcyclist was found with serious injuries, and he was airlifted by the PHI Air to Tyler. They added that the rider was conscious.
Meanwhile, the driver of the black sedan declined medical attention. Civilians around the wreck helped direct the motorists while the crews tended to the occupants.
Consequently, the troopers blocked Highway 198 for clearing duties and further investigation, but it was later reopened.
