27-Year-Old Adelanto Resident Killed in Pedestrian Crash near Sandia Road 

APPLE VALLEY, CA (November 27, 2023) – A hit-and-run collision on Navajo Road claimed the life of Charlie Zamora Urias. 

Deputies and Apple Valley fire units responded to the crash along the northbound Navajo Rd, just south of Sandia Road. 

Upon arrival, authorities learned that a northbound silver sedan on Navajo Rd hit a pedestrian walking in the northbound lane. 

Afterward, the pedestrian was struck by a Chevrolet Traverse traveling in the southbound lanes of Navajo Road from Sandia.  

Police said the driver of the silver sedan did not pull over to render aid to the victim. Meanwhile, the Chevrolet driver, 37-year-old Francisco Taques Revolorio of Apple Valley, did not flee and cooperated with the authorities. 

Unfortunately, responding emergency personnel declared the pedestrian dead at the scene. Later, Apple Valley officials identified the victim as 27-year-old Charlie Zamora Urias of Adelanto. 

Investigators are currently searching for the silver sedan with possible front-end damage. Debris from the crash site also suggests that the suspect might have a honeycomb-style front grill.
