48-Year-Old Female Pedestrian Fatally Struck in Fatal Collision near West Chapman Avenue

GARDEN GROVE, CA (November 22, 2023) – Early Monday morning, one woman was fatally struck in a pedestrian accident on Haster Street. 

Police responded to the scene around 5:45 a.m., at the 12000 block of Haster Street near West Chapman Avenue. 

Officers say the driver of a silver 2006 Mercury Grand Marquis collided with the pedestrian. However, further circumstances that led up to the collision remain unclear. 

Due to the extent of injuries sustained, first responders declared the 48-year-old woman dead at the scene. Although, authorities have not yet released her identity.

Meanwhile, the 55-year-old Anaheim resident driving the Mercury stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. At this time, police are waiting for test results to determine whether intoxication played a role in the incident.
