60-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after Two-Car Collision near Deer Valley Road

PHOENIX, AZ (November 22, 2023)Christian Wilch died early Friday night in a 2-vehicle accident on 27th Avenue.

Around 6:30 p.m., police responded to the scene near Deer Valley Road on November 10th.

Officers say Wilch attempted to turn left into a private driveway when he collided with a westbound vehicle. The driver then slammed into a light pole.

Emergency crews arrived and extricated Wilch from the vehicle who sustained life-threatening injuries. Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics later pronounced 60-year-old Wilch deceased.

Meanwhile, crews transported the female driver of the other vehicle to a nearby hospital with non life-threatening injuries. Although, authorities have not yet released her identity.

At this time, an active investigation to determine further information is still currently underway.
