One Pronounced Dead after Bicycle Accident near Planz Road

BAKERSFIELD, CA (November 17, 2023) – Tuesday afternoon, one male victim was fatally struck in a bicycle collision on Wible Road. 

Police responded to the scene around 3:00 p.m., at the 3300 block of Wible Road, near Planz Road.

Investigators say the driver of a vehicle struck an adult male cyclist in the area. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male bicyclist down on the road with life-threatening injuries. 

Paramedics transported the victim to a nearby hospital where he later died. Although, authorities have not yet released their identity.

Meanwhile, the female driver of the sedan stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. Those with additional information about the Wible Road bicycle collision are encouraged to contact the BPD at 661-327-7111.
