41-Year-Old Woman Killed in Bicycle-Auto Collision near Palm Avenue 

BAKERSFIELD, CA (November 16, 2023) – Police arrested Gabriela Garza Sunday night, after a fatal hit-and-run bicycle crash on Poso Drive.

Dispatchers responded to the scene around 6:00 p.m., near Palm Avenue.

Per reports, the driver of a vehicle struck a bicyclist and immediately fled the scene without rendering aid or contacting authorities.

Medical personnel later pronounced the 41-year-old woman dead at the scene, due to the extent of her condition. Although, authorities have not yet released her identity.

According to the Kern County Sheriff’s Office on Tuesday, officers managed to arrest 21-year-old Gabriela Garza, of Wasco. Garza is currently being charged for suspicion of hit-and-run.
