51-Year-Old Man Killed in Single-Vehicle Accident near McDowell Road

PHOENIX, AZ (November 15, 2023) – Paul Lopez was pronounced dead Saturday morning, after a solo-car crash on 83rd Avenue.

Authorities responded to the scene around 8:30 a.m., near McDowell Road on November 4th.

Per reports, Lopez was driving south with an infant passenger when he veered off the road. The vehicle then struck the median and crashed into another vehicle before coming to rest against a tree.

Despite life-saving efforts, paramedics later pronounced 51-year-old Lopez dead at the scene. Meanwhile, crews took the infant passenger to a nearby hospital for further treatment.
