78-Year-Old Man Dies in Bicycle Accident on North Oakey Boulevard

LAS VEGAS, NV (November 13, 2023) – On Monday afternoon, a 78-year-old man died in a bicycle crash on South Tenaya Way.

The incident happened last October 30th around 3:40 p.m. near the intersection of South Tenaya Way and North Oakey Boulevard.

According to the Las Vegas police, they responded to the scene where they found the 78-year-old cyclist downed on the highway with serious injuries.

Consequently, the emergency responders transported the man to UMC’s Trauma Center but sadly he succumbed to his injuries and died.

Moreover, both directions of this roadway were temporarily shut down to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties. However, the street has since been reopened to the public.

At this time, it was unknown if there were other vehicles involved. The events leading up to the incident are still under active investigation.
