Male Rider Died after Traffic Accident on Santa Monica Boulevard
HOLLYWOOD, CA (November 10, 2023) – Early Sunday morning, a male scooter rider lost his life in a hit-and-run crash on Sierra Vista Avenue.
The accident happened around 2:25 a.m. on October 29th, at Sierra Vista Avenue and Santa Monica Boulevard.
According to LAPD, a black sedan heading north struck a male riding a “Lime” e-scooter. The scooter rider was thrown off from his e-bike into the road. The sedan driver ran off from the scene. Another car, a silver Lexus, hit the rider and then reported the incident.
Emergency responders transported the rider to a local hospital but unfortunately died due to the extent of his injuries.
At this time, officials withheld his identity until his family was properly notified. Authorities encourage anyone with information to contact them at (213) 473-0234.
