Injury Reported in Car versus Metro Blue Line Train Collision near East 54th Street
LOS ANGELES, CA (November 10, 2023) – Sunday evening, a train crash on South Long Beach Avenue in Central Alameda sent one person to a hospital.
Fire officials responded to the incident around 7:30 p.m. at the 5300 block of S. Long Beach Ave and East 54th Street.
At this time, the circumstances that resulted in the collision remain unclear. However, a news report stated a Metro Blue Line Train and a car collided, causing the car to overturn.
Responding firefighters extricated the driver from the vehicle and transported them to a hospital for serious injuries.
