Woman Hurt in Hit-And-Run Pedestrian Collision near Texas Woman’s University

DENTON, TX (November 9, 2023) – On Monday evening, one woman was injured in a hit-and-run pedestrian crash on Elm Street.

The incident happened around 9:30 p.m. on October 23rd, on Elm Street, north of Texas Woman’s University.

According to Denton police, a driver struck a woman walking on the sidewalk and fled the scene. Authorities discovered that the car was a black, 2010-2013 Kia Optima and had a missing passenger-side mirror due to the incident. Police also expect additional damage to the car.

In addition, the injured woman was transferred to the hospital with significant but non-life-threatening injuries.

At this time, authorities are currently conducting an active investigation into the crash and will release more information as soon as it becomes available.
