33-Year-Old Man Fatally Struck in Hit-and-Run Bicycle Crash near North Goldenstate Boulevard 

TURLOCK, CA (November 9, 2023) – Monday evening, Shane Hurst was killed in a hit-and-run bicycle accident on West Christoffersen Parkway.

Dispatchers received calls in the area around 6:00 p.m., at the 3100 block of West Christoffersen Parkway in the city of Turlock. 

According to eyewitness accounts, a 2003-2009 light-colored Hummer H2 struck a male cyclist in the area. Upon impact, the Hummer driver did not render aid and continued driving in an easterly direction.  

Responding officers discovered the male bicyclist in the center median with severe injuries. The man later succumbed to his injuries after being transported to a local hospital. 

Officials later identified the deceased victim as 33-year-old Shane Hurst of Turlock.
