SUV Versus Pedestrian Collision near Blossom Hill Road Left One Person Dead
SAN JOSE, CA (November 8, 2023) – A pedestrian crash on Chesbro Avenue last Monday night claimed the life of one woman.
Police responded to the deadly crash around 9:35 p.m. at Chesbro Avenue and Blossom Hill Road in South San Jose.
Based on the initial investigation, a westbound 2006 Chevrolet Trailblazer hit a pedestrian in a wheelchair. Reports claimed that the pedestrian was traveling against a red light at a crosswalk in Blossom Hill.
Unfortunately, the woman succumbed to her injuries after being transported to a local hospital.
Meanwhile, the Trailblazer driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
The Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Office will identify the deceased victim once the next of kin has been notified. Furthermore, both directions of the roadway were temporarily shut down to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.
