Two Pronounced Dead after Bus Accident near East 17th Street
LOS ANGELES, CA (November 8, 2023) – Early Sunday morning, a minivan vs bus collision on Main Street left two victims with fatal injuries.
Authorities responded to the scene around 5:00 a.m., near 17th Street after spotting someone throwing a gun out of the vehicle.
Police chased the van on Harbor Freeway and Central Avenue for at least two minutes. However, the pursuit stopped after the minivan crashed into a Metro Bus in the area of Main and East 17th Street.
Responding police declared two people in the rear passenger seat of the minivan dead at the scene. Meanwhile, paramedics rushed the van driver and the front passenger to a hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
In addition, the bus driver and the two other bus passengers were treated at the scene.
