87-Year-Old Female Pedestrian Fatally Struck in Deadly Crash near West Santa Maria Street
TUCSON, AZ (November 8, 2023) – Sunday, Catalina Deharo-Rodriguez was killed in a pedestrian accident on South 12th Avenue.
Police responded to the intersection of South 12th Avenue and West Santa Maria Street on October 29th.
Per reports, the driver of a vehicle struck the female pedestrian as she was attempting to cross 12th Avenue from east to west. Upon arrival, officers located 87-year-old Deharo-Rodriguez lying on the roadway with significant injuries.
Medical personnel took the pedestrian to a nearby hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries on Tuesday, October 31st.
Meanwhile, the involved driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities. At this time, an active investigation is still ongoing.
