1 Fatally Struck by Pickup-Truck in Pedestrian Crash on Copper Avenue [Albuquerque, NM]
One Pronounced Dead after Pedestrian Collision near Espejo Street Northeast
ALBUQUERQUE, NM (November 9, 2023) – Late Friday evening, one victim was fatally struck in a pedestrian crash on Copper Avenue.
Police responded to the scene just before 10:00 p.m., near Espejo Street Northeast on October 27th.
According to reports, the driver of a pickup-truck was heading west and eventually hit a pedestrian that was on the eastbound lanes. Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics later pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, the driver remained at the scene and showed no signs of being intoxicated. Additionally, police temporarily shut down both directions of the roadway to allow for cleanup and preliminary duties.
At this time, an active investigation to determine further information is still currently underway. Once available, more details will be provided about the fatal pedestrian crash on Copper Avenue.
